Serious Accident

I At the Rangitikei Hunt Club races yesterday, a boy about ten years of age, was put on Amateur in the saddling paddock for the purpose of keeping him in exercise. j The horse suddenly bolted out of the saddling enclosure, and raced across the paddock to the edge of the cliff, which bounds lit on one side. Seeing its danger the horse attempted to pull up, and the check unseated the boy, who was unhurt, but the horse, being unable to stop himself, jumped the fence and went over ihe cliff, rolling and falling a distance of about 70 feet. The horse is so muc i injured that it will probably be destroyed.
