News of an Oyerdue Ship

Hobart, July 22. News concerning the long overdue barque Guiding Srar has been received here. She is at Anjer, near Batavia, the crew being totally disabled. Cn.pt. Ikin. the chief mate (Mr Lear), the steward (Mr Williams) and one able seaman are dead. The vessel was picked up by the ship Lancefield, tossing about at the mercy of the seas, no one on board having strength left to sail her. The Guiding Star left Port Louis on the 7th May for Hobart with a cargo of sugar. Both the captain and mate leave widows and families, as also "Williams.
