Cattle were in fewer numbers, and almost all the bullocks were very light and indifferent in quality, A fair number of sheep were penned, one line of wethers being well fatted, and the remainder being light weights. Mr Charles Smith, of Wanganui, has so far this season topped the market with some prime wetbers, that made 17s Id. A few pigs that came forward at the last moment sold well. Cuttle— Steers, £4 15s to £5 12s 01; averages, £4 17s 3d and £5 Is Sheop — . Well-fatted wethers, 16s; prime, 17s Id; light do. 12s 6d to 13s 6d ; light ewes, 9s to 10s 3d. Pig« — Medium Baoonor?, 37p ; light dy £1 2s £d ; porkers, UVSd to 21i.
