By Electric Telegraph.— Copyright jPKR WNITKD PRESS ASSOCIATION. [ Experiments made with large mobs of infected sheep have conclusively proved the efficacy of M. Pasteur's treatment for anthrax. Stdnbt, July 22. At the conference to-day between the Seanen's Union and the steam owners the business transacted was only of a preliminary character, and an adjournment was made until Thursday. The Owners will consider the proposals of the Officers* Association to-morrow. Adelaide, July 22, Mr J. Cowan, member- for Yatala.and Mr Bnllimore, an electrician, were killed to-dty at a railway crossing. The horse attached to the buggy in which they were riding jibbed on the rails and the engine dashed into the vehicle, smashing it to atoms. Both gentlemen were killed instantaneously. Melbourne, July 23. The unemployed are still holding demonstrations, and while assisting to diapers the mob in the streets Inspector Larkin was struck on the head by a stone.
