Feilding R.M. Court

Monday, July 21st, 1890. (Before Messrs Sherwill and Kirton J.P.s) WINDOW BREAKING. The following lads were charged under clause 6 of the Police Offences Act, 1884, with breaking windows in tho shop of Messrs Cobbe and Darragh on Sunday last : — Edward Keen (16), Brenan Giohard (9), Rudolph Bilderbeck (15), Joseph Smith (14), Robert Arnott (15), George Noble (14). A plea of not guilty was entered. Messrs Darragh, A. Eade and Constable Tuohey having given evidence the accused were found guilty. Keen, Gichard, Bilderbeck arid Smith were ordered to pay for the window (£1) and fined 5s and 3s 2d costs each, or in default 48 hours imprisonment in Wanganui gaol with hard labor. Arnott and Noble were fined 5s and costs 3s 2d each or in default 24 hours imprisonment in Wanganui gaol with hard labor.
