' Farewell Steeplechase, of 50 soys ; 2 miles.— Gladius, 10-10, 1 ; Gazelle, 9-10, 2. The only starters. Won easily. Dividend, £1 14s. There were only four starters in the Hawkes Bay Steeplechase, of 300 soys ; BJ miles — Jenny, Auckland, Gladius and Darnley. Jenny led throughout. Time, 7mm 52 4-sth sec. Dividend, £2 9s. i'hkistchubch. June 20 The following weights have been dedeclared for the Gband National Steeplechase, of 400 soys ; about 4 miles. — Mangaohone and Ahua, 12-0 ; Jenny, 11-7 ; Oddfellow, 11-5; Kangaroo, 11-0; Sir Garnet, 10-7 ; Auckland, 10-4; Squib, 10-3; Darnley, 10-2 ; Landsborough and The Drover, 10-0 ; Gladius, Snapshot and Little Arthur, 9-10; Cooper, Daddy Longlegs, The Donkey, Pastime, 801 l Call and Enterprise, 9-7.
