The Postmaster-General has received a cable message from, Mr Creighton, of San Francisco, to the effect that the Bill providing for the entry of New Zealand hemp into America free of duty; has been passed by the House of Representatives. The N.Z. Times Pahnerston correspondent says that the flax prospects are still encouraging, and within a week or two he expects to see all the mills in full swing once more.
