Wirth's Circus.
. , = — «> ■ ■' It is hardly necessary to remind our readers of the coming of Wirth's Circus. They are advertised to open here on Wednesday next, May 7th. The Wanganm Chronicle speaking - of the show, says : — A circus always draws money in Wanganui, and Wirth's was well patronised last night. The ahow was a good one — indeed, the programme was oyer long, »md kept the audience out beyond the usual hour. The equestrian acts were particularly good, the ladies of the com-pany-the Wirth family — being far cleverer than, the usual run of equestriennes. Little Edith is a very graceful child, and Tides without trepidation. Miss Marizle 3 Wirth gave a splendid exhilition of bare-baok riding and juggling, keeping balls, rings, and knives going without mistake while riding at a gallop, ma standing position, on a barebacked horse. Miss Madeline Wirth also rides well and gracefully. (Jus St. Leon, and old Wangauui favourite, was as good as ever, and seemed to be able to keep bis position on a flying steed in the moat extraordinary fashion. The trick pomes are particularly well trained and clever ; whilst the tumplmg and balancing of the Wirth boys is viery good. The show is a good one, and well worth a visit.
