Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. have received the following: cablegram from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., re the wool market, dated April 18th : — " Market very firm for good to extra good greasy merino and for greasy crossbred, but weak for scoured merino." . . - The North British and Hawkes Bay freezing Co., limited, have received the following London market reports : — 4 * February 24th— -Beat, Canterbury sheep 3s 2d per stone of 81b, second quality and inferior Canterbury sheep 2s 9d to 3s, New Zealand lambs 4s to 4s 4d, hindquarters beef 2s Bd, forequarters beef 2s <6d. March 3rd— The trade for New Zealand meat this week holds firm and the demand very good, prices being the same in every respect as in our last report."
