MrW. P. Beeves, M.H.R., met with an accident at football on Saturday afternoon. He recovered consciousness last night, and is now out danger, and is expected to be about shortly. The followingnew members have been elected to the Wanganui Gordon Football Club :— W. Lomax, Wj Derongs^ PVGro> gan, Humphries, and J. McMahon. The Feilding Club played a seratoh game on Saturday with teams on the ground. Some good work was done in the way of keeping up their practice. \ At a meeting of the , committee of the; Football Club on Saturday night the captain and secretary were appointed delegates to the Bugby Union. The balancesheet of the Wairarapa trip was read and adopted. The secretary was instructed to arrange a match for the Queen's birth- . day and also to procure tickets ifor members for the ensuing, year. These tickets will admit holders to all matches on the; Oval free of charge.
