FEILDING EASTER MEETING.
(Straight Tips by " Mentor.") The Easter meeting of the Feilding Jockey Club comes off on Monday, and given a fine day it should be well attended. Mr Henry has succeeded in obtaining a good field for the two principal events, but in the Hack Baces the fields are exceptionally small, as compared with the races at the other meetings of the Club. The course is in very fair order, and no doubt some good racing will be witnessed. A large number of horses have arrived, and I shall expect to see nearly all the horses that have accepted for the different events start. The following are my selections : — Hack Hurdles, of 30 soys; two miles; Lucy Glitters ... ' ... 1 Eere ... ... ... 2 Delphine... ... ... 3 F.J.C. Handicap, of 120 soys ; H miles. Cheque ... . ... ... 1 Boulanger ... ... •■ 2 Sincerity ... ... 3 Hack Flat Bace, of 20 soys; \\ miles' Pyramus... ... ... 1 Jupiter ... ... ... 2 Flying Handicap, of 60 soys ; f-mile. Angler .... ... ... 1 Betina ... ' ... ... 2 Wanderer* ... ... 3 Hack Flying Eace, of 15 soys; f-mile. Delphine... ..« ... 1 Jupiter ... ... ... 2
" Spectator " in last week's Press says : Mr Henry has issued the weights for the Feilding Meeting. -The adjustments adiustments appear to be very good. As a shot in the dark without knowing what may start, I take HiH'g«selected, probably Montrose, for the chief handicap, with Boulanger dangerous, if started." Cheque s show looks best in the Flying, and Betina may prove most troublesome to the exhack. The top weights in each of the Hack Hurdle and Flat Baces may prove most worthy of support. The hill in the Feilding course, however, is decidedly against heavy weights getting home. A horse of the stamp of Jupiter .should run well, and he may effect a surprise in the short race.
I PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. I • . London. April 4." Two to one is the best offer against Surefoot for the Two Thousand Guineas, run at the Newmarket meeting on the 80th inst., and 7 to 2 for the Derby, run at Epsom on June 4.
