MANAWATU KILWINNING LODGE "No. 690, s:c. The installation of B.W.M. and investiture ©t officers of tile above Lodf>e took j)lacoin the Lodge room on Wednesday evening, and was largely attended by members and visitors, among the latter being' representatives from Wellington, Peilding. Marton, Mastexson, Wanganui, «tc. The -lodge was tyled at 6.30, and after the conclusion of the routine business the installation of Bro John Walkley as R.W.MI, was. proceeded with, the Board of Installed Masters consisting of the following: — Bros. J. F. Perrin and J. C. Nathan,. United Manawatu; J- J. Hamilton, Pacific, Wellington ; W L. Bailey, Failding; A. Jack, St Andrew's, Wellington ; A. Morrison, Buapehu ; P: Meyrick, T. Suston, and W. H. Smith, Manawatu Kilwinhing, the last named acting as Installing M;is er, and Bro Meyrick as Director of Ceremonies. The jsroceedings were commenced, with singtsjte the Old Hundreth with orchestral ■atccotnpaniment. The music provided was excellent, and greatly aided the effect of the ceremony Bro. Eells also acted as j Herald in connectun with the proclamations from the various situations. After the installation of Bro. Walkley as B.W.M. had been completed, the following officers were duly installed : — Brothers P. Meyrick, 1.P.M. ; W. Rutherford, S.W.; : W. Dawick, J.W.; J.S. Jolly, Secretary ; ; A. J. Norberg, Organist ; J. Salmon, S.D. J. Hocking, J.D. ; J. Buchan, I.Gr, ; and : T. Schlagerj Tyler. The M.M. working ■ tools were presented to the R.W.M. by ] Bro Sutton, P.M. ; those of F.O. by the Installing .Master, and those of the E.A. by Bro Meyrick, P.M. Immediately after the Lodge was closed the room was, prepared for the social gathering, held in j ■celebration of the anniversary of the Lodge, and- this proved one of the most -enjoyable ' reunions ever held in connection with Masonic festivities in this •district. The proceedings concluded with the singing of " Auld Lang Syne" in the usual mariner, followed by " God Save the <3ueen."— Manawatu Times.
