It is said a sensational breach of promise case ts set for hearing in Luudoa soon. The defendant is a gentleman who lives on the outskirts of Birmingham, and has attained the ripe age of 71, and f he lady, who lives in London, is only 23. No fewer than 480 love letters are to be produced if the case comes on for hearing, and some of them run as long as fourteen pages. The lady claims £5000 and at present there is no prospect of a settlement. Whether the case will be taken into court is not absolutely certain.
