The Electoral Rolls
In view of thefact that a general election may take place at any time within the next few months, we would urge upon all recent arrivals, and others resident in this district, who have not had their names placed on Electoral Roll to do so without the slightest unnecessary delay. The ensuing contests may safely be predicated as keener than any whicrihave yet taken place, therefore every vote will bepf consequence. The residents in the new settlements in the Rangitikei electorate, such as Apiti, Pemberton, Birmingham, and other Small Farm Blocks in the Oroua County, are more particularly interested than those of any other part of the electorate, therefore they should spare no effort to haye a strong numerical influence over the results of the election of the memr ber who is to represent them. Itet each one see that not only is his own name on the. roll, but that of his neighbor as well, and then there will be no after regrets when the opportunity for having it done has gone past.
