George Thomas and Op. report prodace prices as follows:-— -A fairly active amount of business may be noted during the past week, in the grain And seed market. A slight ad is noted in the value of oats, owing to a determination on the part of Southern farmers to utilise stocks for sheep feed, in preference to selling at present low rates ; we quote prices ranging from Is lOd to 2s Id ; oattneal, £10 10s; oaten sheaf chaff, £3 15s to £3 17s 6d; straw, £2 15s; there is no movement in flour, and values remain unaltered, roller pro--cess being worth £j8 15s to £9 ss; •and stone £8 to £8 10s ; fowls wheat 2s lOd to 3s; pollard, firm at £3 Ids; bran, £3 10s. Considerable inquiries exist for grass seeds, and machine- dressed rye grass is worth from 4s 9d to 5s 6d per bushel; farmers parcels, 3s 9d to 4s 3d ; cocksfoot, 3£d to 4d; Italian rye, ss. Maize, is dull at 3s sd ; feed barley, unsaleable at 2s 6d; beans, 3s Bd. The demand for white potatoes has entirely faded away, and is replaced by blue Derwents, for which inquiry ■exists at £2 15s par ton ; onions are a glut at £5 ; split peas, pearl barley, blue peas, cheese, honey, and lard, command little or no attention ; eggs, have advanced to Is 2d per doz. The fruit market is exclusively supplied with apples, pears, and quinces, which now rule at fairly low rates, eating ■apples, from 5s to 8b ; cooking, 4b to ss; eating peara (best), 12s to 13s; cooking, 5s to 7s 6d ; quinces 4s per 401 b case.
