O • . The annual meeting of the Acclimatisation Society will be held on Thursday the 27th instant. Mr J. Palmer, of the Makino flaxmill, advertises £1 reward for the recovery of a horse. There will be a meeting of the Football Club at tbe Empire Hotel this evening at eight o'clock. Train arrangements for the Palmerston Races on Thursday the 27th instant are published to-day. Additions are made to-day to Messrs Stevens and Gorton's stock sale here on the 27th instant. There are now over 6000 sheep entered for this sale. Mr Mulhns, of Palmerston North, offers ten shillings reward for a lost dog. Description in advertisement. Mr Frank Bray has just reoeived an assortment of new pipes and cigarette holders, which were opened up this afternoon. Messrs Cobbe and Darragh have a replace advertisement in to-day, whioh is worthy of the most careful perusal by the heads of families. Mr McFerran has a new advertisement in to-day, and requests special attention to his Ceylon teas, of which he has some new lines in stook. Carpenters and builders are reminded that tenders for erecting shelter sheds at the Feilding State School will close at the Star offioe, at 4*o'cloek on Monday, next. The Manchester Boad Board and Kiwitea. Road Board invite tenders for public works, particulars of which, may be seen on reference to the, advertisements which appear over the signature of Mr' C. Bray, Engineer for these boards. There is now on display at the Red House a splendid assortment of Electro Plated Goods, suitable for presentation and Birthday Gifts; they consist of fancy Cruet, Biscuit Jars, Marmalade Jars, Butter, Sugar, &c.
