The Lodge of Oddfellows will meet this evening. Mr Carthew has just received hiß usual monthly case of books and periodicals. A Couple of splendid pointer, dogs will be sold by Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co. to-morrow. Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and ..Co. will hold a big stock sale at Palmerston on Thursday next. MrS. Martin, late storekeeper of Wellington, has commenced business in Awahuri. He invites a trial. Applications for the position of Borough ranger, salary per annum, will be received, by the Town Clerk up to 4 p.m. on Thursday the oth of March.
