Freezing Company for Wanganui
(PER UNITED PRESS AS9OCIATION.) WANGANtr, February 12. •At a largely .attended representative meeting of the most influential settlers in this district, held this evening, it was resolved that a meat freezing company should be floated here, and that immediate steps be taken to effect this object. The proposed capital of the company is £25,000 in £5 shares, of which it is intended to call up £3 per share. It is the intention to ship meat from the Heads by a steamer carrying 3000 -carcases, to be taken to Wellington and transhipped . on to the Direct steamers. The output of the works is to be 6000 carcasses at least per month. •
