« , (PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, February 12. Mr J. McDonald, lime merchant and ex-M.H.E. for Bruce, was to-day sentenced to 7 days imprisonment for abusive language to the Assignee in bankruptcy. Since his insolvency he has been under the impression that his estate was not properly liquidated, and has quarrelled with his own solicitor, the Assignee, trustees and others. Going to the Assignee's office he demanded full particulars of his affairs, and this being denied he commenced to use abusive language. In Court to-day he stated that two years ago he was worth |£40,000, and was now not worth a shilling, having been rogued out of it. On being sentenced Mr Mac donald said: "Have I got one week. in gaol for asking for my rights ? " :
