Feilding State School
A meeting of the Peilding State School Committee was held at the school-house on Tuesday evening. Present — H. Worsfold (chairman), W. Reading (secretary), Watts, Curtis, Gould, Morey and Hicks. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The secretary, Mr Beading, presented a balance sheet of the late concert, the particulars of -which have been already published, and reported that the balance, ±'19 10s bad been placed in the bank as a special fund account. The balance sheet was adopted, and a vote of thanks was passed to the concert committee. Resolved, That the chairman apply to the Education BoArd for a subsidy of £5 10s to the proceeds ot the concert, as a fund for. building shelter sheds. Mrs Lissaman sent in her resignation as assistant mistress, giving certain reasons for so doing. After discussion of the matter, it was resolved unanimously, That the committee have every confidence in Mrs Lissaman, and refuse to accept her resignation till an enquiry is held; and that the Board be asked to appoint a deputation to hold an enquiry, in conjunction with the committee, into matters relating to Mrs Lissarnan's resignation.
