Johnston, the British Consul at a Portuguese port in Mozambique, is organising the natives of Nyassaland to assist the Makololos and Karangos in repelling the Portuguese who are concentratiug their forces at Katunga. It is believed that fighting has already begun. Mr Johnston, British Consul, has promised the British residents protection from the Portuguese. The situation of the Portuguese is considered precarious. ___^
