Sale of Blood Stock.
• Auckland. January 3. The New Zealand Stud Company held their anuuul yearling sale pf thorough- ■ bred Stock to-day at Sylvia Park. There was a very, large attendance, nnd the prioes realised wore eminently c*uli*-tnc-tory. Forty-three yeai}>ug_ were submitted, and the total uinouut realised from their sale was 615S guineas. Amongst the principal buy-rs, wore Messrs Wilson, of Adelaide, G. G. Stead, Canterbury, Gollan and J. D. Ormond, aud D. O'Brien. Tho highest price given •was for a colt by _\i>-dp.nfe'dt Nelly Moore, which, niter keen competition, was sold tojMr Wilson, of Adelaide, for 1025 guineas. A filly by Nordenfeldt— Florence McCarty, was sold to Mr Gollan for 625 guineas, and he also bought a Nordenfeldt— My Idea filly for 210 •guineas. -Mr Stead "gave 425 guineas for a Nordenfeldt— Pnlchra filly, whilst 450 'guineas were paid by Mr D. O'Brien for a colt by Nordenfeldt— Crinolin c. All of the Clydesdale stock of' the company was* sold at good' prices, and a number of thoroughbred brood mares wore also dis-posed-of. The stallions Leolmus and •Captivator were sold, the former for 40 guineas and the latter for 14 guineas.
