D.'cem ber 30. During the rehearsal of Joan of Arc, Sarah Bernhardt mounted tbe fag ots which caught fire. She fainted and w-s only rescued with great difficulty. Two of the scene shifters were badly- burnt in extinguishing the flames, and one of them is dying. . - -
