«•— - A pleasant match was played yesterday afternoon between an eleven of the Feilding Borough and a teanr representing the Country — across the Oroua River. The Town secured the victory by 101 to 6Q r though the Country were of the opinion that if there had been time for a second innings the tables might Lave been turned. For the Town the -chief' seoi-ers were R, S. Fowler, 19; W. Stevens, 16 j Cooke, 15 ; and for the visitors Nix r 23 ; J. Brown, 15 ; Gibson, 11. - A team selected from the gentlemen of the Seymour- Walshe Opera Company will play a team of Feildiug cricketers tomorrow. As there are several notei Kuights of the Willow. among the yisitors some good play may be anticipated.
