The East Coast Election
We are glad to see that Mr Arthur has been elected for the East Coast constituency. His maiority over his opponent, Mr W. L Bees, is a comparatively small one, and indicates that the battle was well fought on : both sides We believe that • Mr Arthur will be a most useful member. His election strengthens the hands of the present Ministry, as he is an avowed supporter of Sir Harry Atkinson. A protest has been entered, of course, on the ground of alleged irregularities.
