The Feilding Star. TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 1889. Manchester Road Board
The polling for a proposed loan of £4750, to be expended in very necessary works in No. 5 Ward of tke Manchester Road District will take place on Saturday next. That the voting will be in favor of the published schedule we feel confident, especially as two strong committees for the \fangaone and Bunnythorpe ends of the Ward, have been appointed to make assured the presence of the several electors at the polling booths. We have not heard of any opposition, openly made, but in order to obviate any possible mishap . we would urge upon every ratepayer the fact that recording his vote is a duty he ought to fulfil, not only for his own, but for the benefit of his neighbors as well, The works to be done ought to have been completed years ago, and the present is the most likely chance the oettlers will ever have again of getting the necessary .. money. Buch being the case there should be no holding back — no excuses ; but every elector should vote. "I .
