Manchester Road District
Pursuant to ' notice a meeting of ratepayers of No 5 ward was held on Thursday night in the schoolliouse at Bunnythorpe. Mr Pearce presided. Mr Macarthnr addressed the meeting and spoke to the same effect as at the meeting heJd at Mangaone on the previous night. A resolution was passed in' favor of the loan of £'4750, and a strong committee appointed to assist in securing the necessary voting at the poll. A vote of thanks to Mr Macarthur and the usual compliment to the chairman closed, the proceedings.
