It is supposed that the .fire was caused by sparks from the engine. ' WpoDViLLB, December 12. Dr Henry Williams, formerly practising in Pleriheinij Tiinarn and Christchurch, died to day from inflammation of the lungs. Auckland, December 12 In a statement to the Herald Mr W. Adams, manager of the Waiorongomai crushing plant, states that he believes that gold mines are to ~ be -found in the Puhipuhi district, but that the course : pursued by the would-be promoters of ; the field is retarding its progress.
