Tawhiao' s Manifesto

A Native meeting of the tribes adhering to Tawhiao has been held at'Maungakawa, near Cambridge, and separatee! yesterday. Tawhiao issued a manifesto to the tribes urging them them to bt j united. He concludes as follows : — " Lot a Maori Parliament be' established, th( crop to be sewn therein. ■ This . is tn abolish the Native members in -the European Parliament, Native assessors, surveys, Native Land Courls, 6ales oi land, of leases, Bchools, gold mining on Native land, roads, and ceaeo to obey th( European summonses in cases betweei Maoris only. Let the Maori tribunals Reside these pases, drop the Pakeha re ligion, aud uphold Hauhauism.
