The Poisoned Water Case

Greymouth, December 5.

The case' of poisoning following the use of water from a spring at Point Elizabeth proves to be British cholera. It appears the spring had been used some time with impunity, but latterly it ran dry and the water for tea was taken from another hole close by, which showed sighs of rust, apparently from decayed vegetation. Mr William Willspring died this afternoon. Mr C. Holder was taken very ill, but can get about. "Mr Martin Parker is still very ill. Only three men were eilected. They are all old, well-known residents of the Coast. Mr Wellspring was 57 years of age.
