Puriri v. Somnus

The following letter appeared in the Wanganui Herald of Thursday. Sir, — I would like to call your attention to an injustice that has been done me by the report of the Wellington A. and P. Association. They state that Messrs Redwood, Gaisford, and Mcßae were the judges of blood stock, whereas I am informed [I was not present) 'that Mr Red wood. was in Christ.hurch on the day the judging took place, and that Messrs Gaisford and Mcßae being unable to agree, Mr Coleman, from Hawkes Bay was called in to decide. By the report it would appear that my horse was' favoured, as everyone knows that he was bred hy Mr : Redwood, and owned some years ago by Mr Mcßae, I am, &c, H. Giiijes. Terrace End, Palmerston North,

November 20th, ... 1889.
