— — » Bulls, November 9. "We had exceptionally large entries of cattle at Feilding on the 31st, being close on, 750 Lead and just on 500 head at Paimerston on the 7th.. and much larger entries than usual at Woodville on the sth showing a brisk trade in cattle. We had also good eutrieß of sheep at Feilding and Paimerston. The class of cattle at Feilding were not so good as those yarded at Falmerston and the result of the aale was consequently not quite so satisfactory,' though both may be termed' very good sales., There is evidently a demand for bullockß or; cows, in forward, condition and the bidding for their particular - class was keen at all the sales. At Woodville tbe sale went off much better than it has done for some time. We quote the following prices :' — Cattle Feildiug: Fat cows, £3 6/6 to £3 12/-; forward 4 and' s-year bullocks, £4 3/-; 3-year steers, £3 9/6 to £3 12/6; 2 to 2£-year steers, £2 to £3 8/- ; 18-mouths W 2-year eteers, .35/-,; 1-year and 18-months mixed, 21/- to 23/6; weaners and yearlings, 13/- to 16/- ; 2-year heifers, 27/6. Woodville : 2-J to 3-year- steers -fc £2 14/- to £3; 2 year empty heifers, £2 5/- ; forward cows, £2 2/6 to £2 16/6 ; 2-year steers, £2 ; 18-month to 2<**year, heifers. 30/- ; milkers, £3 to £4 ;• 1-year steers, 25/. Paimerston : Fat bullocks, £4 15/- to £s'; fat cows, .£3 5/* to £4 6/- ; 3-year bullocks, £3 bj- to £3 16/6;, 2 to 2 year steers, £2 2/- to £2 7/- ; 3-year empty • heifers, 34/- ; 4 year bullocks, £3 15/; store cows, 30/. Sheep —Feilding : Fat shorn ewes 7/7 ; fat shorn wethers, 9/6 ; fat woolly sheep, 11/11 ; woolly hoggets, 10/. • Pahnerston : Woolly hoggets, 10/6 to 12/5 ; shorn, 7/7 ; woolly ewes-10/7; mixed, sheep 11/-; ewes, with lambs, 14/1 ; fat shorn ewes, 7/- ; store 5/6. - 'We sold horses at Eoilding, Woodville rand Paimerston. Draughts from £17 to £20; hacks, from £4.2/6 to £5.. ' __
