John Qarrick and John Harland were drowned yesterday at Nugget Bay by the overturning of a boat. Alox Henderson, hotelkeeper, had a desperate strnggle in the breakers, but was rescued by a young man from tfie shore who swam out with . a rope. / . A man was killed by the train late last night. The deceased Btepped from the front platform, and as he stepped and appeared in danger of falling, he clutched at the iron bars, the effect being that his body was swung' under the car. The wheels passed over him, and he died within an hour's admission to the Hospital.
