Kiwitea Road Board
The usual monthly meeting of the above Board was held this morning. Present—: Messrs Taylor (chairman), Lucas, Reid (2). Haythorne, Homer, Shannon and Mills.
'Die minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. COHRESPONDKNCE. From B. Hart, asking for payment for bushfelling. From J. Jeffries, requesting something to be done on the Cross road so as to give him means of access for sheep, &c. From L. Holden, asking the Board to do their portion of road line felling and fencing adjoining his property. • From AY. Burne, re change of name on rate roll. FromJW. Waugh, re transfer of section. From Crown Lands Department, re expenditure of thirds. From J. R. Davies, on the same subject. From Crown Lands Office, with schedule re expenditure of accrued thirds. | From District Survey Office, re inspection of Oroua road, and voucher for payment, j From W. Watson, re felling roadline. From F. Richardson, re the earaei From M. Porter, re change of name on rate roll. | From J. R. Anderson, asking to have a track in Pohangina made passable. From Clerk Manchester Road Board, re proposed Commission on Cheltenham Cross road boundary. . ■ ! From L. Jensen, re felling roadline. From Oldershaw & Godfrey, re change of name on rate roll. From Railway Reform League, a circular re the olyjects of the League. From C. London, re payment for forming track. Mr J. R. Davies waited on the Board with a petition from settlers on the Kiwi-tea-Tapua road, praying to have said road made passable out of thirds. A discussion was held on the subject, and Mr Davies was informed that a proper petition with details as to Nos. of sections, &c, would have to be sent to the Board to be forwarded to the Crown Lands Commissioner.
