Mr Davies, watchmaker, advertises English and French clocks of the best quality for sale. The Football Club will hold their annual banquet on Friday next, at the Empire Hotel. An emergency meeting of the Feilding Masonic Lodge will be held on Friday the 25th instant. Mr Win. Lockyer, of Kiwitea, advertises for sale one ton of prime Derwent seed potatoes. To-day we publish, as an inset, hand bills of the Hugo's Buffalo Minstrel entertainment on Thursday next. The citizens of Wellington have decided to present Mr Dnthie, Mayor, with a library as a token of the universal respect he has gained during his term of office. In a recent issue we mentioned that during the twelve months ending the 30th May last the number of fheep in the colony had increased by 346,727. This was made up by the various districts as follows : — Hawke's Bay, 128,055; Wellington and West Coast, 120,990 ; Auckland, 31,185; Canterbury, and Kaikoura, 26,---874; Otao-o, 7459. The increase in the North Island was 280,230, and iv the South Island 66,997.
