The Waipa Seat

Replying to a telegram a 8 to the Waipa seat, Mr J. Bryce says:— "l rather shriuk from forcing myself on a district, but if a requisition is got up it would soon appear whether the feeling is in general favour of my being nominated. If such should prove to be the case it would indicate much public spirit ori the part of the electors, and I should be proud to represent Waipa."

TJpoh consideration, the .speaker of the House of Representatives has decided to declare the Waipa seat vacant at once, without waiting for the Supreme Court to grant letters of administration in the late Major Jackson's estate.,;^ : ' '
