London, < 'cfobiT 11. There is no change in the quotations for foreign mutton. Wool is firm. JFor bright crossbreds there is spirited competition. The ironmarket is greatly excited. Prices rose Is 3d per ton in a quarter of an hour, but things afterwards became calmer.

The scholars at a dozen B«..ard and other schools in London, following the example of the Scotch boys, have gone out on " strike," and display banners inscribed, " Shorter hours-, no home lessons ; more holidayo." The Czar accompanied by hi 6 second son, the Grand Duke George, was at Kiel yesterday, where the German admirals were banquetted on board the Imperial yacht. The Czar will arrive at Berlin to-day.

The British-India Company's steamer Taroba, with 30) immigrants aboard, struck on a rock near Mackay. A» she was making water rapidly, the captain headed her for the shore and beached the vessel safely. She will be probably floated off without difficulty.
