The Oamaru Election
(pee press association.) Oamabu, September 30. The following is the result of the election for a member for Oamarn : — Hislop, 551; Dunn, 415; majority . for Hislop, 136. There was a good deal of rough horse -play after the election this evening. ■ Flour and eggs were freely thrown about, and several larrikins were arrested. The number of votes polled was fewer than at the last election of a, member; but Mr ,~-» Hislop's position is somewhat the same, his majority to-day being nearly the sanW as on the previous occasion.
