Frozen Meat Results

Result of a shipment of 332 fat wethers, shipped from Feilding on the 28th May, per s.s. Rirautaka, to Messrs Johuson and Allsup of London through Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. The sheep were sold on the 22nd July as follows : —

Equal to 15s 9£d per sheep for 332 sheep. There is a loss of 1341bs on the weight as shipped and sold. The actual expenses calculated on weight realised amount from Feildiug to London 2878 d per lb. The average London weight per sheep is 631 b 3oz. The gross amount per sheep realised in London is 5,229 d per lb, or 27s 7£d per sheep, to which has to be added 3s 3Jd realised for fat and skins, equal to 30a lOfd per sheep gross. — Herald.
