The following stupid and nmlicious telegram was forwarded by the Press Association agent from London : — " Sept. 12 — The Itev. Mr Barfield, noted as an active Liberal- Unionist lecturer, has disappeared for the past fortnight. It is suspected that lie has been enticed to Ireland, and murdered by the Invincibles." The Association should forward facts, not suspicions. Why, because a man disappears, he should necessarily be murdered by Irishmen, is difficult to understand.
