LP«SB UNITED PREBB ASSOCIATION.] Woodvillb, This Day. Captain Bryant, Engineer for the Maharabara copper mine, was found dead on the back stair-case of the Masonic Hotel, this morning. He arrived by tlie fc 'am from Napier last night. Heart disease is the supposed cause of death. GISBOItNE, Thiß Day. An old gentleman named Bobert Preston, who with his family recently arrived in this district from Otago, died suddenly yesterday. He walked some distance up in the country to visit some friends, and was in the latters orchard looking at the trees when he fell dead from apoplexy or paralysis.
