Proctor's was the last, and that was taken out of the mine yesterday. 'A tin which belonged to one of the men, found last week, had the words scratched on it, " Died from starvation; after living seven days." . September^. . Arrived — American barque- Hesper from Pu^et Sound. She reports that\the barque Garston, bound from Sydney to San Francißco, has been wrecked at Starbuck Island. The Chief officer and twenty of the crew reached Hunnantrey Island. The Captain and nine of the crew are missing. William Dobell and two boys have been murdered by natives at the Solomon Islands. Dobell's brother was murdered recently.
