Entries for Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co.'s next sale at Feilding are published to-day. List of entries for Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co.'s Palmerston sale on the 19th instant are published to-day. Tenders for felling forty acres of bush are invited by Mr W. F. Jacob, of Kiwitea. The job will be let in one or more j contracts if required. Tenders for felling 30 acres of light bush are invited by Mr W. H. Bailey, of Nannested's road, Taonui. Tenders will close on the 11th instant. The Town Clerk of the Borough gives uotice that certain clauses in the Rating Act 1882, and its amendments, will be adopted at a special meeting of the Council to be held on October 3, 1889. Mr W. Watts, one of the candidates for the Borough Council election on Thursday next, publishes a short address in another column, in which he solicits the support of the burgesses.
