FUNDS BEING PBOVIDED FOR DESTITUTE STRIKERS.
Receivorl September 3, noon. London, September 2. The strike has cost the P. and 0. Company £15,000. The Salvation Army, together with Mr Buxton, M.P., and others, are providing daily food for thousands of strikers' families. Funds are urgently needed to avert absolute starvation. Further large contributions are anticipated from America and Australia-. The stone-masons in America have promised to remit i! 100 weekly, The strikers' cause is being warmly advocated by Members of Parliament, including Messrs Cremer, Graham, Sfconfc, and James Rowlands.
