London, August 12 It is reported that Sir James Stephen has intimated to the authorities that he will resign his position on the Bench in the event of the condemned woman. Mrs Maybrick. being reprieved. The Executive have given consideration to the case of Mrs Mavbnck, and have arrived at tho conclusion that they would not be justined in granting a reprieve, and the sentence of death would therefore be carried into effect. The execution is fixed to take place on the 27 th instant.
