The fact that five Auckland members have declared themselves in favor of Mr Moss' amendment, and it having been rumored that Messrs Newman, O'Connor, Allen, aud Buxton were in opposition to Ihe Government, this will have the effect of putting the Ministry in a minority. Great excitement prevails in the lobbies, and the whips are straiuing every nerve. It is said that Mr Fergus will resign at the end of the session owing to pressure of private aff sirs, and Mr Downie Stewart has been offered the portfolio.
