Wesleyan Concert

On Thursday evening the Foresters' Hall was well filled for the concert and entertainment, with coffee supper, given in aid of the trust funds of the Feilding Wesleyan Church. Several' ■ vehicles brought a large number of visitors from Sandon, including the choir of the Wesleyan Church there, some 18 in number. The latter sang a selection of anthems and other pieces in very good style, under the efficient conduetorship of Mr John Sanson. The soloists from Sandon were Mrs Cannell, Miss Bishop, and Messrs John Sanson, Sexton, Neil, and Pyke. The local vocalists were the Misaes A. and C. Bray, Bellve, and Fuszard (a visitor from Napier) and Messrs Eade and Bartholomew. The pianists were Mesdamee Beading, Dowling and Whitton, and Misses A. Bray Bellve, Cannell (2), and A. Bowater. We forbear to make distinctions where all did so well and succeeded in pleasing their audience. It is sufficient to say that iv musical, as well as in numerical and financial points of view, the whole anair passed off very satisfactorily,- while the excellent coffee supper, which was served out in the interval was also well appreciated. The singing of the National Anthem by the whole company brought to a close a social and very enjoyable evening.
