(PER UNITED PBESB ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, July 28.

About 150 were present at the> meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge 5.0., last night for the installation of Bro. E. T. Gillon as DeputyProvincial Grand Master of the North Island. In the absence of Sir F. Whitaker, Bro. Niccol, of Auckland a substitute for the Provincial Grand Master, presided and conducted the ceremony in a very impressive manner. The District Grand Lodge of Wellington, EC. was represented ; also the District Grand Master of Auckland, Bro. Graham, E.C> and Past Grand Master of New Zealand, Bro. Pyke, SO. Bro. Hamilton represented the Provincial Grand Lodge of New Zealand, I.C. The ceremony was a choral one. Bro. Warren acting:, as director of music. After the lodge closed, there was a banquet. Bro. Gillon was presented for installation by Bro. Barroa, the Past Master of the Otago Kilwinnen Lodge, as Master of which, some 25 years ago, he inititated Bro. Gillon, Parliamentary proceeedings prevented the attendance* of Sir Harry Atkinson and a large number of members of the House of Representatives, from whom apologises were received.
