The Northern Trunk Railway

■ « (The Times Correspondent.) Wellington, June 28 A deputation consisting of Messrs Wilson, Bruce, Macarthur, Newman, Izard and Taipua waited on the Minister for Public Works this morning with respect to the North Island Trunk Line. The deputation urged the letting of another small section to open up country now being settled upon and containing excellent timber, nnd the construction of a dray road to open country or to Auckland. The Minister said there was not sufficient money for road construction af Government wished to buy the native land, but he would lay the question of letting another section before the Cabinet.
