Laud Board

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Land Board was held at Wellington yesterday. The land disposed of since last meeting amounted to 3558 acres 26p, at an upset p ice of £3243 13/8. With regard to Mr Bunny's motion for the future disposal of Crown lands by public auction, a communication was received from the Minister of Lands to the effect that the proposal would be considered when the next blocks are available for disposal. The tender of Mr E. T. Harritsßon waa accepted for Section 18, Block V., Pohangina subject to approvae of the Wanganui Harbor Board. The Commissioner explained the non-fulfilment of improving conditions respecting sections in the Masterton, Mangahao, Feilding, and Birmingham special settlements. The explanation was adopted. Mix applications for leave to transfer were approved. The Kiwitea Road BoarJ submitted proposals for expenditure of thirds, Oroua survey district, which were approved.
